Production Supervisor - Batam
Reports to Manufacturing Production Manager
Responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing environment. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Responsibilities:
This position accomplishes manufacturing team results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance data, manpower utilization; maintains safe and clean work environment.
- Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
- Maintain proper inventory levels.
- Track absenteeism, timekeeping and disciplinary actions.
- Supervising Production team; organizing, monitoring work flow and output achievement.
General Profile and Requirements :
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering required
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in MNCs Manufacturing /Moulding or in the same role
- Possess critical thinking skills, a desire to improve processes and the ability to take ownership of critical activities.
- Strong communication and leadership, able to develop team members
- Ability to speak, read and write English is highly essential.
